From the Desk of Susan B. Lubalin ’89

Dear Friends,

I hope that this letter finds you doing well, enjoying the fall weather and looking forward to a safe and joyful holiday season.

I am writing today on behalf of the students at Pace University. As might be the case for you, my Pace education made a significant impact on my life and brought me unexpected career success. My long career in the reinsurance industry was professionally fulfilling and personally gratifying, and I can thank Pace for helping me achieve an accomplished career.

I am also a longtime volunteer for Pace, helping students begin successful careers, and allowing me to develop my own professional network. And I am also a longtime donor to Pace, providing financial support.

This year, my financial advisor suggested that I donate to Pace from my individual retirement account (IRA). I had never considered supporting Pace from my IRA, but there are many tax benefits when making a qualified charitable distribution from an IRA. Although I am not an expert on taxes, your own tax or financial advisor might have recommendations about this type of gift. Best of all, you can see the impact of your generosity immediately and in a very meaningful way.

You can also contact Marc Potolsky at 212-346-1619 or mpotolsky@pace.edu to learn more about making a gift from your IRA, other kinds of gifts or including Pace in your estate plan. Visit pace.edu/plannedgiving too!

Wishing you a nice end of the year and holiday season.

Very truly yours,
Susan B. Lubalin ’89
