Giving Back for the Support She Received

Jennifer Carol Loftus

Jennifer Carol Loftus '96

When something's right, you just know it. Everything clicks the way it should. That's how Jennifer Loftus describes her experience at Pace University. She came to Pace through a slightly unconventional route. At the time, not many schools offered MBA degrees with a Human Resources concentration. Even fewer would consider a full-time student with no full-time work experience. She also needed a graduate assistant position to help pay for school and a dedicated career services office to help her find part-time work in her field. Pace offered exactly what Jennifer needed.

Jennifer graduated Pace with her MBA in Human Resource Management with the highest departmental honors. She is now the founding partner and National Director for Astron Solutions, a human resources consulting company for small and mid-size organizations. Jennifer boasts over 20 years of compensation and HR experience. Her primary areas of expertise are the design, administration, and analysis of customized market surveys, employee opinion surveys, and exit interview systems, as well as the design and implementation of base pay compensation systems. She is also a sought-after speaker and published academic.

Throughout her career, Jennifer attributed her success to Pace and opening all possible doors for her. Thus, when she received a call from Pace's Adult and Continuing Education Office to be a human resource management adjunct professor in 2001, Jennifer proudly accepted.

Jennifer continues to support Pace in several ways. She served on the Spirit of Pace Awards Dinner Committee and has been awarded the Omicron Delta Epsilon Alumni Achievement Award.

Jennifer is also a member of Pace's Edward J. Mortola Heritage Society, having provided a gift for Pace in her future estate. She dedicated her planned gift to funding scholarships for MBA students with a concentration in Management. Jennifer believes that the best way to give back is to pay it forward, so that future generations can have the same opportunities she had.
