A Proud Legacy: 30+ Years with Lienhard School of Nursing

By: Marilyn Jaffe-Ruiz

Marilyn Jaffe-RuizI’ve been proudly working for Pace’s Lienhard School of Nursing since 1981—that’s more than half of Lienhard’s 50-year lifetime! From day one, I’ve been impressed by this great university and our students: dedicated, intelligent, creative, and hardworking diverse people, eager to practice nursing and committed to patient care.

I also appreciate that my faculty and staff colleagues are committed to helping students become caring professionals and are dedicated to enhancing the student experience, resulting in a pioneering curriculum at the forefront of excellence in nursing education.

When the University adopted the Work Toward Greatness motto years ago, it was a perfect fit, because Pace students, faculty, and staff have been working toward greatness for years.

Now that I’m retired after decades serving Lienhard as a professor and dean, and as University Provost, I’ve included Pace in my estate; I’m proud to leave a legacy to help Lienhard students continue to improve their lives and continue to Work Toward Greatness. I’m hoping to help Lienhard for another 50 great years!
